Wow. Just back from this month's Rat City Roller Girls bout and boy have the skaters gotten better. This has been one of the best things about watching hot roller derby action. Each month the skaters are better and more aggressive and the matches are getting closer and closer.
My beloved Throttle Rockets scored a close a win over Grave Danger (57-49) in a match filled with spills and great defense and my heart almost stopped watching the Sockit Wenches come from behind and almost defeat league leaders Derby Liberation Front (49-48). The last jam of the DLF/Wenches match was hair raising. Oh, and several fights, not all of them of the professional wrestling variety broke up the skating action.
There are four more bouts in the season and if you live in Seattle and don't see these badass women do there thing before the season ends, well then shame on you.
I tend to think of mad max for some reason when I think of roller durrbees. Is rat city a small city... and where? Yes yam drnk got name like dick. I got nuttin' orelse... do say?
