- The Ten Most Harmful Books of the 19th and 20th Century . . . can mostly be found on our bookshelves! Damn the liberal grad schools that molded my mind! ('Cause you know, the best way to regard books is to label them "harmful" or "harmless.")
- Somebody landed a helicopter on Mt. Everest . . . good for them, I guess.
- That fringe organization Amnesty International has released their 2005 Report, but really there's no need to read about the abuses at Guantanamo because W has declared them "absurd" . . . I feel better now, don't you?
- We know who Deep Throat is finally [pdf of Vanity Fair ariticle] . . . but then again, we always knew who he was: a hero.
- I've been watching the bird flu develop with increasing alarm--perhaps it was all those epidemiologists I hung with years ago in San Diego--and the best taste of what might be coming is in the faux bird flu pandemic blog hosted by those wackos at Nature.
- ImprovEverywhere pulled perhaps their most ambitious mission yet, spoofing a U2 rooftop concert in New York. They rule.
How thoughtful of these conservative intellectuals to put together my summer reading list. I think I'll send them a thank you note.

Origin of the Species only got honorable mention?!!?! Darwin should be ashamed. I would have thought that he was just as dangerous as Keynes or Comte for God's sake! I also thought that it was funny that they quote the Washington Times review of the movie Kinsey, instead of actually openning the book to find the quote that they need. That's smart conservatism for you! When's the book burning?
