It's been a rough couple of weeks at Joygantic HQ, in fact things have not seemed that joygantic at all. So I'm happy to report that things are back on track and perhaps even on a new track. After much reflection I've decided not to quit my job, chuck my various technology gadgets out the window, and become a farmer.
Instead I've resolved to cultivate more joyganticism around mind, body and spirit and this resolution received a significant boost in the past few days with a thoroughly enjoyable trip to the Bay Area which involved:
(1) A reunion with the Rays, who have been family friends since 1958, long before I made my grand entrance on this planet, (2) A lovely wedding and family reunion with my immediate family, many many cousins, near cousins, and attendant offspring, and (3) A fabulous night with David and John, their beautiful son Dante, and lovely dog Tory, followed by a great day in San Francisco with David and John (a rare "adult day" for the dads).
Spending time with so many lovely people who I rarely see was good for my soul. My priorities have been suddenly, and effortlessly rejiggered and it feels very good.
