As I was going on at length last night about my relationship to reading and science fiction--and I should declare it to be a partial history as I never mentioned how my love of reading was nearly destroyed by grad school, only to be reborn in a renewed love of fiction--I'd meant to mention a key book in my life.
The book was Alas Babylon, but on Googling my writings (which is both weird and cool) I see I've alread mentioned it.
